About the Service

We’ll make sure that your WordPress website is safely transferred to its new home.

We’ll install and configure the best caching plugin in its class. The plugin will handle your website’s caching, HTML – CSS & JS minification and lazy load your images making your WordPress website load significantly faster.

Optimize the Database

Running a lean and mean database can translate into faster response times. Over time databases can become bloated with unnecessary content. We can remove all outdated comments, trash, old revisions and all other superfluous stuff.

Image Compression

We all know that images are byte heavy and can be a massive drag on your website’s speed. Using an image compression plugin, we’ll compress your images which will improve your load time.

Slow Plugins

Most plugins can enhance your website’s functionality but, at the same time, they can also put a strain on your resources and slow down your site. If you have an underperforming plugin, we’ll spot it and suggest an alternative.

Bad Requests

Content that has been moved or no longer exists on your website needs to be deleted or fixed. Otherwise, visitors opening pages with broken links will be delayed as the resources will return a 404 not found error.

Brute Force

A common attack on WordPress is to hammer the wp-login.php or xmlrpc.php file until a hacker gets access or until the website’s memory runs out. By limiting login attempts and configuring .htaccess such an event can be avoided.

+ What plugins do you work with?

When optimizing a WordPress website we work with WP Fastest Cache, WP Rocket (+ $49), TinyPNG, Smush it, P3 Profiler and various other plugins depending on your requirements.

Should I use a CDN (Content Delivery Network)?

If your website visitors come from all corners of the world, then we recommend that you use a CDN to enhance the delivery of your site’s assets. At Fixmysite.com, we use KeyCDN. However, for local businesses with audiences limited to one country, a CDN might not be necessary. In this case, a reliable hosting company and a well-optimized website should be more than enough.

+ How do you measure speed?

We measure performance with GTmetrix, Pingdom and Google PageSpeed Insights. If you don’t see an improved performance scores – we will send you a full refund – no questions asked!

+ Do you work on WooCommerce websites?

Yes! We understand that speed is crucial for e-Commerce and that it can have a direct impact on a website’s earnings. However, please note that your website should be hosted on a good server. Entry level hosting plans are often not suitable for WooCommerce stores.

+ What information do you need to get started?

We need a WordPress administrator account and an FTP account (or your web hosting account details).

+ Can you transfer my website to a new server?

Yes, we would be happy to assist you, we offer a dedicated WordPress migration service.
